Sacred Heart Convent School
On the occasion of Earth Day, the Kindergarten section of Sacred Heart Convent School comprising Nursery, LKG, and UKG classes, celebrated the day with great enthusiasm and learning. The young students were taken on a nature walk within the school premises, where they explored and observed various elements of nature first hand.
The highlight of the walk was a visit to the cowshed, where the children observed cows and their calves. They were fascinated to learn about the care and maintenance of the animals and watched attentively, gaining a new appreciation for the environment and living beings.
Following the nature walk, the students participated in a seed-sowing activity. Guided by their teachers, the children learned how to plant a seed in a pot and understood the importance of nurturing it with water and sunlight to see it grow. This hands-on activity brought immense joy to the young learners, and they were visibly excited about growing their own little plants.
Throughout the celebration, the bond between the teachers and the children was heart warming. The presence and involvement of the teachers greatly enhanced the experience, making it both educational and memorable for the children. The Earth Day celebration successfully instilled in the students a sense of responsibility and love for nature, reminding them of the importance of caring for the Earth – today and for the future.
